A dental emergency leaves you feeling helpless. You’re in crippling pain. You’re scared because you don’t know what’s happening. Is the tooth fixable? Could you lose it? Aren’t you too young to lose a tooth? Until you get help, you can’t eat. You can’t sleep. You can barely think. All you can do is keep running your tongue over the hurting tooth, and hope that someone, anyone, can see you and set your mind at ease.
One of our favorite patients at Ahwatukee Dentistry, Suzanne, came to us a decade ago, when she was experiencing a terrible dental emergency. Her situation was especially scary. She’d called her regular dentist for help, and they wouldn’t see her. She remembers, “I had a terrible toothache that needed immediate attention. It was a little late and my dentist’s office in downtown at the time wouldn’t accept walk-ins. I live in Ahwatukee so I made a few phone calls in the area, and one of them was to Ahwatukee Dentistry. After I explained my situation, Dr. Le decided to stay late to take care of my case.”
When someone can listen to you, accompany you in your pain, and heal your wounds, you’ve found a dental home, a place where you know the team will be compassionate and understanding. Suzanne knew she’d found a practice where everyone cared about her and her experiences.
Knowing that You Matter Changes Your Life
Before she met Dr. Le and the Ahwatukee Dentistry team, Suzanne wasn't a frequent smiler. She'd smile if something was so funny that she couldn't help herself, but smiling wasn't an all-day, every-day thing. Dr. Le’s concern for her and her teeth transformed Suzanne’s self-image. She told us, “I have gained awareness of my smile and I want to smile because my new smile makes me feel pretty, happy, confident, and feel sweet inside.”
It's not just Dr. Le that makes Ahwatukee’s patients feel special. Kat, the hygienist, goes out of her way to provide top-quality care that shows her patients that she respects and values them. Suzanne describes her care as “after each visit for a teeth cleaning with Kat, you will feel like you had just come from a spa treatment.”
Suzanne is just one of the patients who’ve walked through the door at Ahwatukee Dentistry and found a life-long dental home for themselves and their families. To find out if Ahwatukee Dentistry is a place that your family could call home, call us at (480) 582-4973.
