When Tam T. Le, DMD, was a resident at the VA Administration Hospital (now the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center) in Houston, she never dreamed that someday she'd be using her skills to provide safe care to vulnerable patients in a pandemic.   The San Diego native graduated from the University of Kentucky Dental School in 1999.  Since she wanted to learn to serve medically complex patients, she chose a residency in Houston.

While working for the VA, Dr. Le provided high-level dental care to medically compromised patients. She performed minor oral surgeries, periodontal surgeries, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry on patients with multiple health problems.  Because of her experiences serving veterans, Dr. Le is uniquely qualified to provide safe care to your family during a global pandemic.

Dr. Le moved to Phoenix in 2004, and opened her practice, Ahwatukee Dentistry, in 2007.  For nearly 15 years, her practice has been a place where families can find compassionate care combined with life-changing technologies.  Whether you want to maintain dental health, restore damaged smiles, or address sleep-disordered breathing, Dr. Le and her team are here for you.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed dentistry, and Ahwatukee Dentistry has made patient safety their number one priority.  The office now uses the Extraoral Dental Suction System during cleanings and procedures.  This system prevents droplets and aerosols from escaping into the air and uses HEPA filters and UV light to eliminate 99.995% of viruses and bacteria.  Adding the system doesn't just protect patients against the Novel Coronavirus. To limit exposures between patients, we’re encouraging family-block appointments.
